The Ophir Legend
The legendary city of Ophir is referenced in the bible, and is said to have been the port that King Solomon used to transport great treasures including gold, silver and precious stones.
Famous for its wealth and riches, some theories have even suggested that Ophir’s city walls were constructed of gold and precious stones.
The location of Ophir remains a mystery to this day. Historians and Scholars have long debated the location of the lost city, with theorites suggesting it could have been located in Africa, Asia and even the Americas. Some theories have even suggested that Ophir was also the location for the lost city of Atlantis.
